[Wednesday - 27/10/2020]         

Platform: WhatsApp

On this day, after the selection of group members, the first WhatsApp group was created! ๐Ÿ˜Š We started to discuss our e-SULAM project in the group and decide the title of our Service Learning Project. After a few minutes of discussion, we decided to do Service Learning about termite infestation at Kolej Allamanda UNIMAS. The reason why we choose Allamanda is that it seems that residents are not aware of the termite's infestation issue. So, we want to help them solved their problem.

[Thursday - 29/10/2020]

Platform: WhatsApp

We make a few discussion to choose our leader that will lead us throughout the program. One of the members volunteered to be the group leader and officially he became our e-SULAM leader. We also divide the task for service-learning letter and proposal writing. Two members will write the cover letter that will be sent to Kolej Allamanda and the remaining members proceed to do the proposal using Google Docs so that it will be easier to see each other work

The leader gave the explanation to all group members on what point should be added to the proposal and at the same time, the cover letter has been completed.

Our group has chosen the platform that will be used to create awareness about the service-learning project. We decide on using Instagram because it will be more suitable due to pandemic and might attract the community better because most people love using Instagram.

Finally!! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ All of the members have completed their part in the proposal of the service-learning project.


[Wednesday - 2/12/2020]

Platform: Microsoft teams

The first online discussion was made so that our leader can explain more on the progress of our service-learning project. This project will be carried out in three phases:

1.Study the termite infestation condition at Kolej Allamanda

2.Identification of termite problem

3.Disseminate poster through Instagram to create awareness

The official Instagram account also has been created! The ID is: @Termiteque_20

We have posted the first picture for our Instagram account and started to promote the Instagram account. We also made a pre-survey to all Kolej Allamanda residents to see how many residents are affected by termite infestation issue.

The second online discussion was made to discuss about important things that should be submitted. Some task has been given to every member such as final poster, social media update and our e-portfolio.


[Monday (21/12/20) - Saturday (16/1/2021)]

We focus more on creating infographic to be posted on our Instagram account since the beginning of the project until the end. Google form survey also has been distributed to let our community which are Kolej Allamanda residents to evaluate our service learning project.

[Tuesday - 19/1/2021]

To finalized our service learning project, all the response from the community evaluation has been compiled including the report and final check have been done.

[Wednesday - 20/1/2021]

The final poster of this project has been submitted to the community partner which is the Allamanda College management office. The poster was briefly explaining about the suggested ways to control the termite problem in the community site.
